Ebay changes some seller policies

Just recently, Ebay, the 500 pound gorilla of auction sites, changed some of its seller policies. The biggest one is seller feedback. Just last year, Ebay decided to prevent sellers from giving buyers negative feedback. This was even in the case where the buyer failed to purchase items they bid on or used "Buy it Now".

Sellers found this to be unfair. Especially when buyers failed to follow through on the purchase they agreed to. Sellers could only open up a dispute, wait nearly two weeks, and then finally just receive a refund of selling and listing fees (if the item qualified for a listing fee refund).

Ebay soon saw that sellers were listing and less and less. This can be contributed to the seller policy as well as the current world economic situation where both buyers and sellers are not as active as a year ago

Ebay is one of the largest sites on the internet. Ebay is also the largest auction site on the internet.

Just about any type of item can be found here. Not everything though. Ebay does not sell firearms, pornographic material,or anything remotely controversial or considered illegal.

The number one thing to look for when bidding or buying an item is to check the seller's feedback. A good seller on Ebay will have a lot of positive feedback. Outstanding seller's will have feedback of 100%. Showing they are trusty and reliable.

Never try to buy and item from a seller that has zero feedback or just joined the site. This can be a sign of a shady seller who is just trying to get money and then disappear like a ghost.
